Wild and Deliberate

Not Exactly Baseball at Its Best, but Yankees Win - New York Times:

"Brown and Zambrano, who seemingly attended the same school of pitching, were just wild enough to be effective. Deliberate as ever, Brown baffled the Mets with his sinker and stalled them by taking regular breaks on the mound to pick mud out of his cleats."

Just noting, and wondering, about the possibility of being wild and deliberate. I'm sure you can't be wildly deliberate, but can you be deliberately wild?
