If the Royals have a blog, so should the Expos.

Stiffed again/Perdu encore

ESPN.com - MLB - MLB Power Alley:

#27

"We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Don't be surprised when the 'Spos roll past the Mets and escape the NL East basement."

Yeah? Well when is that going to be reflected in the Power Ranking standings? The Mets are at #20 and just 5 1/2 games ahead of the Expos (who, I might add, where about 14 games out at the All-Star break).

I think I'm getting a little crazy about the Power Rankings, but the Expos should be getting some respect for the fine second-half that they are having. Especially after their second-half collapses of recent years. The Yankees, who have lost quite a few games recently but are still owners of the second-best record in the majors, dropped two spots to #4 within the week. So it's not like the rankings aren't fluid.

The Expos are 22-15 since the break.

The top teams: The Yankees are 22-17. The Red Sox, 24-14. The Cards, 28-10. The A's, 25-14.

The bottom teams: D'Backs, 8-30. Seattle, 13-25. Kansas City, 12-26. Colorado, 19-19. The Mets are just 14-23!

Which set of teams does Montreal seem to fit better with?

Who can I talk to at ESPN?

Later.
