If the Royals have a blog, so should the Expos.

Who needs Carl Everett?/Qui a besoin de Carl Everett?

ESPN.com - MLB - MLB RECAP:

"PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Montreal Expos have baseball's worst offense partly because they don't hit many homers or drive the ball to the outfield enough. For at least one night, though, the routine groundball provided more than enough scoring."

So it's not that they changed their tactics, but rather had some luck. Which doesn't bode well. But, a win's a win.

In related Expos news: Carl Everett was traded to the Chicago White Sox for Jon Rauch and Gary Majewski.

Some helpful quotes in case you don't feel like reading past all the Carl Everett junk.

Rauch: "The 6-foot-11 Rauch, the tallest player in major league history, was 6-3 with a 3.11 ERA at Triple-A Charlotte. He went 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA in two starts for the White Sox this season."

Majewski: "Majewski was 3-3 with a 3.19 ERA and a team-high 14 saves at Charlotte."

Vidro on the trade: "'I guess they did what they thought was best for the team,' Montreal second baseman Jose Vidro said. 'We were not winning. They can get some young guys they think they can develop.'"

Later.
