Speaking of Bass - FarSide has some odd pricing going on. Most bartenders charge $4 for a pint of Bass - and you get a free one after about 4 or, usually, 5 rounds.
But recently, the dude with the small goatee has been bartending. And he charges $4.50 for a pint - but the third round is free.
I haven't been able to stay around (what with work the next morning usually) to see if the sixth round is free as well.
| # of drinks | Usual Price/beer - 5th rnd free (4th rnd free) | New Guy Price/beer |
| 1 | $4 ($4) | $4.50 |
| 2 | $4 ($4) | $4.50 |
| 3 | $4 ($4) | $3 |
| 4 | $4 ($3) | $3.38 |
| 5 | $3.20 ($3.20) | $3.60 |
| 6 | $4 ($3.33) | $3 |
Summary - if you're a wuss and only getting 1-2 drinks, hope for $4 rounds, b/c you're getting nothing free.
3 drinks and that's it - hope for $4.50 pints w/ the last round free.
4 drinks - hope for $4 pints and a loose bartender who's looking for good tips.
5 drinks - either way, $4 drinks are better.
6 drinks - $4.50 pints, w/ liberal free rounds.
That's all I have to look into it now. Thanks to my Bass-drinking adversary for providing the code for the table. (Better?)
Later.
